The mission of RedRover is to connect hospitals around the world to reallocate unused medical supplies in developed countries to lower resource hospitals. Unused medical device waste adds up to 765 billion dollars per year in the United States alone. RedRover is working to send leftover medical devices as quickly as possible straight from hospital to hospital.
Your hospital likely buys new medical equipment before the item it is replacing is at the end of its life. Instead of throwing away items like several year-old blood pressure cuffs, donate old versions to a hospital in a low-resource area that has few or none. Doing so helps hospitals in need and is environmentally friendly.
